Police response times have increased and combined with a reduction in their staff the responsibility for keeping our homes and our families safe falls to ourselves. A protection dog or pet protector as they are sometimes called can provide a peace of mind that no burglar alarm could match. Let us be clear that a protection dog is an integral part of your family, a pet with the skills and confidence to protect you when required either at home or out and about.

I often hear people say of their dog “I know he’d look after me if the chips were down” sadly for 99% of untrained dog owners, this is just wishful thinking.

Protection training (when carried out correctly) can be the most demanding yet rewarding training undertaken by a dog and its owner. At Valborg Canine we have over 55 years combined experience in protection dog work both in the police service and private sector. Having worked with a wide range of large breed dogs we are able to asses your requirements and provide a structured training programme for you and your pet. It’s never too early or late to train and there is no greater confidence than in the knowledge that your beloved pet has the ability to defend you and your family.
